Kids Yoga Sequence:

*Having a three-year old imagination sure helps when planning out Children’s Yoga Sequences

Caterpillar Pose, i.e. Superman

Caterpillar becomes a buttery (Cobbler Pose) with flapping wings (legs)

The butterfly wants to get on a boat, Boat Pose

Soon the butterfly sees a bear, Bear Pose

The butterfly flies back to the boat (Cobbler to Boat)

Basically, this sequence requires some imagination to go from pose to pose. Your child may get into the cueing and tell you when they see a bear. If so, go into Bear Pose.

Continue shifting to and from poses, until the Butterfly comes to a rest and stretches her wings in wide leg side stretching pose, Parsva Upavistha Konasana.
